Ms. Mikayla

Hi! My name is Mikayla, and I’m so happy to be joining the team at St. Andrew Preschool. I bring three years of experience teaching art to both children and adults, and I love helping kids grow, explore, and express themselves through creativity.
Art has always been a passion of mine I’m currently studying graphic design with the dream of opening my own art studio one day. I’m so excited to get to know you and your children and to be part of such a fun and important chapter in their lives!

Ms. Leigh

Hi! My name is Leigh McCammon. I was born in Seoul, South Korea and adopted by American parents at the age of 4. I’m a proud mom of two sons and a daughter-in-law — my oldest lives in Hutchinson, Kansas, and my youngest and his wife live in Fairfax, Virginia.
I bring over 45 years of experience in childcare, including work with special needs children and adults, as well as time spent as a CNA, in home health care, and in the restaurant industry. Through it all, I’ve discovered that my heart belongs in one place: working with
children. I’m so excited to be a part of the St. Andrew Preschool family and look forward to teaching, learning, and growing alongside my class this year!

Ms. Erin

Erin Wheat is a graduate of the University of Alabama and spent many years working in the retail industry before starting a family and dedicating her time to raising five wonderful
children.
In recent years, she has worked as an art instructor with Expect Excellence in Orange Beach, sharing her creativity and love of teaching with students of all ages. Erin is thrilled to bring that same energy and passion to her new role at St. Andrew Preschool, and she looks forward to a fun and meaningful year ahead!

Ms. Laura

Hi! I’m Laura Hill, and I am delighted to be working with Kate and the rest of our wonderful staff in the Extended Hours program at St. Andrew Preschool.
I moved from Nashville to Gulf Shores at the end of December and absolutely love it here.
What I love most about children, especially the littlest ones, is how they help you see the world with fresh eyes. Whether they’re smelling a rose, handing you a lizard, or expressing
full-on outrage over a toy truck, their honesty, wonder, and bravery never get old. It's a gift, and I feel lucky to witness it every day.
Professionally, I studied English in college and later earned a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Bank Street College in New York. I began my career teaching special education preschool and eventually moved to Nashville, where I worked in communications at a school for children with special needs and unexpectedly became a journalist!
I’ve also served as Director of After-Care at Harpeth Hall School, taught summer camps, worked as the Community Liaison for Au Pair in America, and continue to work as a freelance writer.
I’m thrilled to bring all of this experience to the children and families at St. Andrew!

Ms. Brie

Hi! My name is Brienna Giles, but everyone calls me Brie!
After spending the past four years as a stay-at-home mom, I’m thrilled to be stepping back into the classroom. I previously taught kindergarten in Ohio and also worked as a preschool teacher, and I’m excited to bring that experience to the St. Andrew Preschool family.
One vacation to Orange Beach was all it took for my husband and me to fall in love with the Gulf Coast—we packed up, made the move, and haven’t looked back! We absolutely love the beach life. My husband co-owns Coastal Livin’ Pools, and together we’re passionate about wildlife and beach conservation.
I can’t wait for a fun, enriching school year and to grow and learn alongside your children. I’m so happy to be part of this community!
